Hi,

Came across this old-looking document piece recently, and thought it looked neat!

I see in my Scott catalogue that the Italian parcel post stamps were used such that 1/2 went on parcel, and 1/2 was kept on the receipt given to the parcel sender. Is this one of those receipts? I've never came across one before, so I wasn't sure.

Are these receipts common? According to my Scott catalogue, the stamps have pretty minimal values as halves (which is normally as they are seen), with the highest CV being $0.80 for the 4 lire stamp (Q15). Is there a premium for them being used on document? I'm curious, and might assume so, but I have no idea. Any thoughts?

Here's the front and back of the piece.

Sadly not much financial value, as you point out. These receipts are usually worth very much more if they are complete, as they are extremely uncommon in that state. Interesting nonetheless, and worth accumulating a few of them. Some countries can have high values on these receipts, and these are definitely worth getting hold of.
