Hi Cregwillis. And welcome to the forum. Looks like you have some very nice stamps there, German, Dutch, English. www.stampworld.com is a free web catalog where you can look up the price of these

Thanks Peter for your answer. I really appreciate it. I had a quick look in the catalog you sent me and I honestly don't have a clue how to search there. Is there a guide on the forum which would save me some time?

Creg - If you are in a hurry and really only want to know if you have some cash value in the stamps you show the answer is no. If on the other hand you are actually interested in identifying the stamps regardless of value I will happily help you work through it.

For a start, the stamps inscribed 'BAYERN" are the German state of Bavaria. The 'SAARGEBIET' black overprints are French occupation of Saar, post WWI, and the 'PLEBISCIT SLESVIG' stamps are Schleswig (plebiscite area of Germany/Denmark after WWI.

The brown stamp with the black oval overprint (third scan) is Allenstein, another post-WWI German plebiscite area.

Fairly simple if you don't overthink it: find your country of interest by using either the map or the search window, then start scrolling through the years until you find your stamp(s). There's also a free iOS app called Stamp Identifier that can be very helpful, why more people don't know about it is beyond me.

If there are gaps between letters in the Saargebiet overprints, the value of those stamps might run into the double digits.

These stamps are mostly from the German area in the wake of WWI, so production quality was uneven. Plate flaws are highly collectible, so there could very well be hidden treasures here.
