On July 1, 1968, Burma issued the same set of bird stamps with same designs, values and colors but in different stamp sizes. I don't know the reason for that. Here are the 1964 and 1968 sets on album pages for comparison: |

25th Anniversary of Burma Independence, issued on February 12, 1972: Aung San (1915 - 1947) and the Independence Monument, Maha Bandula Park, Rangoon: Aung San was a Burmese politician, independence activist and revolutionary. Aung San is the founder of the Myanmar Armed Forces, and is considered the Father of the Nation of modern-day Myanmar. He was instrumental in Burma's independence from British rule, but was assassinated just six months before his goal was realized, on July 19, 1947. First direct flight from Israel to Burma, April 22, 1957 - A commemorative private cover sent registered from Lod airport, Israel by Air France to Rangoon, Burma. The cover franked with Israeli stamps: On the back, postmark applied in Lod airport, Israel, arrival postmark applied in Rangoon, and return postmark applied on August 8, 1957 in Tel Aviv, Israel (Like the first cover I posted previously, these kind of covers were sent to Poste Restante and all were returned to Israel since no one asked them): The side cachet is based on an early Burmese stamp:
