I just started reviewing my Scott Classic 2022 regarding the type II of A37 Sun Yat-Sen definitives wet & dry printings. The Scott notes indicate the wet printings due to shrinkage measure 18.5-19.5mm by 22-23mm. There is no direct info on the size of the dry printings.
Does anyone have a China or other catalog with information on the type II printing sizes? Also are there any specifics on perforations for type II values?
My measurements show stamp sizes 19-20mm by 22-23mm.
By not providing a picture of what you are talking about you limit the answers you get. Not everyone has Scott in their bookshelf or even in the library. Without Scott it is impossible to know what stamp you are talking about. Someone may have the exact information you are looking for in their catalogues, but as they do not have Scott, cannot provide you with that information.
This is the single circle Sun emblem issue, London print (1931-37).
The Ma catalog says that size differences are due to the printing plates; no mention of wet/dry printings. They separate narrow types (18.5-19 x 22.5mm) and wide types (20-20.5 x 22.5) and further break those down into specific plates identifiable by their characteristics. Some values/colors only come one way.
