Just purchased a nicer collection of world stuff. Found d these two in an old junior stamp album and I thought I'd share them. Don't know anything about them and obviously the one is torn but I think they're pretty neat.

GB medicine stamps are great. I know they go back a long time and there are a lot of different types, but I am sure that someone here will know a lot about them.

A bonbon is a small chocolate confection. They are usually filled with liqueur or other sweet ingredients, and sold wrapped in coloured foil.

Others for the Lexicon.
Anthelmintic is the term used to describe a drug used to treat infections of animals with parasitic worms.

Nice to see you employing the Long Pointies

I find the colors on these stamps quite interesting. This looks much like a promotional card I have that was printed in the 1840s by the British banknote firm of Charles Whiting. They developed a lithographic method of very precise color registration as an anti-forgery technique.

Wouldn't this be a sugar-coated tablet?

Bonbon is a general word used for sweets. The chocolates with a filling are bonbons, but bonbons are, not necessarily, chocolates.

Yes, my mother would occasionally drift into the French "bonbons" for sweets, although her usual term was the north-eastern "ket".

I think you are correct
All the bonbons, I have had, if memory serves, had a sugar coating,
and was striped, white brown, red brown etc.
Was not particularly taken by them. An acquired taste perhaps.

The ones I recall are like the two at front
wiki offers up a plethora of types.
