Hi,
I am trying to understand perf errors better, without discussing the stamps being diffferent in other ways.

Referencing them as such:
1 2
3 4
5 6

1&4 are offf centered to top and left, 2 &5are right and bottom, 3 is left and bottom, and 6 is just right.

Are any of these considered perf errors and why or why not?

thx, John

very cool, TY! I guess the upload of the pictures of my stamps didn't happen as I thought it did. These seem very off center but I am not thinking they qualify as Perf Errors, Right?

They are not perforation errors. Just poorly centered.

It may be a perforation error if it makes you think, "I wonder how that happened?"

with rodgcam (classic_paper snuck in while I was typing).

Stamps are just poorly centered until they are no longer considered poorly centered. At about 20% or if change of design occurs then they are perforation freaks. Errors have something completely missing or completely incorrect such as imperforated due to missing perforations or entire doubling of the perforation.

My link above shows you some great examples and explanations.

Error and freak are terms of art in US Philately. They are also shown and defined at the organization to which I sent you via link, The EFO Collector's Club.
