Hello stamp friends,

can you please help me to identificate if my stamps are real? I have few Germania 1920 stamps but two of them is somehow different, it looks less quality and I dont see no visible watermark on them, others I can see by simple eye check but not on two of them, its the first one, from top, and last one from bottom, it looks like fake to me but im no expert, any ideas what to look for?

thank you verry much.

As floortrader noted they are all genuine. The watermark is sometimes hard to see on the late printings due to wear of the dandy roller (the wire mesh which creates the watermark). There were six printings. This denomination has been forged to the detriment of the post office and is known as the Koln forgery. Besides the poor printing it is perforated L13 instead of the genuine K14:14 1/4. It looks like this:

Unfortunately, not my stamp. Catalog value 2,500 euros on cover. The genuine is 2.50 euros on cover.

Germania,

If you're looking for one of those Köln forgeries, a mint one one just went unsold at the Klütterman auction. Available at their after-auction sale, but not cheap — 150€.
