Need Help With Chinese Stamps, Please.

Can anyone, please, tell me where I find these in the SG catalogue.





These are just a couple I couldn't find, I will post more later.

Also, what happened to East China?
In an old catalogue I have, East China was listed under the China section, now it's not. Where did they move it too? At the moment I only have the A-C catalogue out of the library, so I can't search any others.

1943 Stamps of China opt "Hwa Pei" as top characters in Type 3
(The Japanese conquered North China in 1937 and formed a puppet Government in Peking)

Sorry, Rod, I should have been more specific. It seems that some of the East China have disappeared from that section, this series for example (it was in that section in an earlier catalogue)...

THE BUND:
The Bund (simplified Chinese: Íâ̲; traditional Chinese: Íâž©; pinyin: W¨¤it¨¡n) is an area of Huangpu District in central Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The area centres on a section of Zhongshan Road (East-1 Zhongshan Road) within the former Shanghai International Settlement, which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River, facing Pudong, in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The Bund usually refers to the buildings and wharves on this section of the road, as well as some adjacent areas. The Bund is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai. Building heights are restricted in this area.

I still can't find it though, in the 2008 catalouge.

Number two, I had the same problem, can't find it without overprint.

You're not a goose Steve, China can be quite challenging
to anybody, to coin an old Aussie phrase,
Cataloguing China is a "Peck's Paste" job...a little goes a long way I usually attack a few uncatalogued stamps once a week.

I thought I had seen every Dr. Sun Yat Sen stamp in existence,
then you come along and show me another (still cannot find stamp 2)

Where it is in your catalogue I cannot tell.

Steve, it looks like SG has removed central China from its
Stamps of the World Catalogue now.

Getting all a bit confusing, but the Sun Yat Sen $1 stamp, between the Taiwan and Manchukuo POSB stamp is another PO Savings Bank stamp, if I'm reading the Chinese in the cartouches at left and right correctly.

My SG numbers are not to be relied upon, Gibbons has overhauled their Chinese listings, and numbers vary widely from old catalogues

First two are national reconstruction savings stamps. Last is a revenue (can't quite make out quite what) for Kweichow/Guizhou Province.

Only missing from the "stamps of the world" catalogue Steve,
almost certainly they will be in the specialised China.

Wow, Steve, Rod, Tony, what a great thread and ID work all of you have done, and there are some stamps I have even never seen, that is a really good lesson to me.

I can not ID this stamp via Scott 2008, maybe it is multiplex overprints? I will check the Ma's Catalog tomorrow:

This stamp is a parcel stamp via read the Chinese character in the middle and upper, as Tony has indicated it is used for Kweichow/Guizhou area. Rod has indicated the basic stamp via SG Catalog, here is the information for it from Scott 2008 Catalogue, looks the basic stamp is Scott #5L70 Orange Vermillion perf. 12.5, 14 , Scott #5L70a Red perf.14, looks the basic stamp of Steve's example is Scott #5L70.

Will ask and check more information tomorrow and post here.

Your red $220 Central China stamp is listed as SG CC74 in my 1998 SG Part 17 China catalogue under Hubei, within the "Central and South China" listings.

Of course it's a parcels stamp. Now it's pointed out, it's so obvious. The first character of 'parcels' isn't completely printed, which completely threw me and sent me off in entirely the wrong direction

If you guys haven't even seen some of these stamps, it's not surprising I was struggling.
