I think Floortrader deserves better. I favour Derek Rose, which come in fun designs, eg

Well this purchase was a self-reward for myself for being awarded a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Congratulations, on the promotion, not the invoice. Me, I never had the chance to wear a chairo obi. Yeah, I've gotten those invoices as well .

As to Disney, good luck with that . Let us know how it turned out .

Now, seriously, congratulations on the promotion; it is a great accomplishment for an old guy as this old guy knows.

Edited for commas and emphasis.

Questions or comments floortrader? Send a SCF message. I will respond. No need to of course.

Geoff - Love those Derek Rose!

Floortrader - Yes, congratulations. I trained in the martial arts when I was in my twenties and moved on. Great job keeping going. My greatest takeaway from the Arts was humbleness and humility which you obviously have in spades.

Floortrader - I add my congratulations. To advance to brown in BJJ is no small accomplishment. Keep rolling with the young guys, and show the wisdom the old guys can bring.

I am hopeing for a good financial report from Disney Corp tomorrow maybe a real good one to get the wife off my back about "wasteing my money on stamps "

Well Disney's earn report is out. Did it help get the wife off your back? If you held a short position on the stock, that is looking good, between the trading day and after hours the stock is down over 5%.

A savvy investor like FT would be shorting Disney all day long, amirite? He won't see this message for a while because he's enjoying a pre-Castro Cuban and a single malt while his wife tallies the winnings.

The report was one cent short on the estimates . Yes that 1 cents in earnings has cause the market to break $4.00 per share , stocks lost billions of dollars in value . .....that is how crazy the world we live in for investors .

But as I read the financials , I am happy to hold for a rally later in the month , because parks revenue is up ,on-line streaming still needs work , new management in the companies divisions are positive ,their legal problems are working in their direction . I will sit still for now ,because I have some nice stuff coming from California WESTPEX stamp auction . ,I got a lot of British Colonies coming ,will update you all .

Got my lots from the WESTPEX show ,got to say very pleased with what Schuler Rumsey shipped me ,now need to mail them a check for payment .

I have very good relationship with the firm , much like a few other firms . I will usually contact the firm around 10 days after a major stamp auction to get a final price and always tell them to take their time with my order knowing full well they are very busy those few days after a auction with other clients .

It was Gregg Manning who sat down with me in his office in New Jersey and explained the auction houses problems when dealing with their clients .

Was hoping to pay for this with profits from my stock trading account but the markets did a big nothing . So remember that 4.9% CD that I purchased last November the week of Thanksgiving ,got some interest paid out on that ,
so that is enough to cover my WESTPEX purchase .

Need to take a break from buying until wife quiets down .

For comparison, a new offer at ebay: 2500 stamps in a stock book, 1.5 million US$, and as you can see from the scan, rather ordinary stamps. 1.5 mil. Where do these dealers come from?

The seller has only ever received feedback on 26 transactions for sold items, as most of his trading on ebay has been as a buyer. The only philatelic item the seller has ever sold was a 2023 Scott Classic Worldwide Catalog. Ironically, they apparently didn't use it when coming up with a price for this collection.

Typo fixed
