I have been plenty of documentation on French revenues but surprisingly nothing on what the different "types" are used for or what they mean, and French revenues are a bit overwhelming to begin with. I did find that Quittances = Receipt, but can not seem to clarify what Copies or Dimension revenues mean. Could someone help clarify?

"Dimension" stamps were used for registration of official documents.
"Dimension" because the amount of the tax depended on the size of the document, and not on any value mentioned on it.

There's a catalogue of French fiscal stamps, if you're sufficiently interested

I unfortunately don't have the extra money nor space to invest in catalogs though I'd like to.

Thanks for the explanation on Dimension revenues vayolene. If Dimension literally refers to the dimension of the taxed item is "Copies" literal as well, like a tax to copy documents?

Yes it is (copies of legal documents)
Here is a document with both "dimension" and "copies" stamps.

And here is was trying to catalog my collection and assuming they was deeper meaning to their use and that they couldn't be used for what is printed verbatim on them. How prosaic.

Thank you again vayolene for the help. I greatly appreciate it
