I posted a picture of this stamp in a previous thread at

https://goscf.com/t/54858&whichpage=32#728608

However, at that time we were only discussing whether it was a guide dot, how it occurred, etc. In this case, I found a stamp from the Miniature Pane which appears to have TWO of the dots, plus some other interesting features. It should be noted that Geoff Kellow has noted that these perforation pinning points (guide dots) are known and present on Australia Issues starting in 1927, but he never mentioned anything about two dots.

Scott 95, ACSC 133 entire stamp:

Closeup of upper right side, showing the two dots:

On the left, upper area, we can see a vertical interrupted line starting above the first A of Australia and continuing downward for quite some length:

You can also see some engraving lines in the left area. Lastly, the circled area shows that the vertical line continues for a little longer:

Any help would be appreciated.

The following is not my stamp (but I'm going to go look now), but a detail from a Kelleher item on hipstamp:

I apologize for the atrocious quality but I did what I could from the scan of the pane found here:

https://www.hipstamp.com/listing/au...ure/53534345

I see the same two dots in the same orientation (i.e., skew to the frame/design).

Darn! You were supposed to say that this was a unique and very valuable item ... Oh well. Interesting vertical line on my copy, though.

Well, technically speaking, you could still list it on ebay as "1 of 2 known."

Well, now 1 of 3 known. I just saw this on a full miniature sheet being offered on ebay right now. The top two stamps show the double pinning points.
