During 1961-64, Afghanistan issued many stamps and souvenir sheets to publicize the UN campaign to fight Malaria.

First set was issued on October 5, 1961. It contains two identical stamps and one SS, all were issued perforated and imperforated:

The second issue by Afghanistan was on September 5, 1962. A set of 11 identical design stamps was issued in addition to two SS's contain these 11 stamps. Again, all were issued perforated and imperforated:



This set was reissued surcharged on May 1, 1963. Here is one from the set:

The third and last issue by Afghanistan publicizing the Malaria campaign was on March 15, 1964. A set of 7 stamps, with two identical design stamps and one (or maybe two) SS was issued:


One of the stamps, the 4ps value, was issued also as revalued 10ps stamp:

Anti-Malaria campaign, issued by Lundy local private post in 1962. All stamps have the mosquito emblem on the bottom but only the last stamp has Malaria related design, the Anopheles mosquito:

UN campaign against Malaria, issued by Poland on October 1, 1962. Stamps show Anopheles mosquito, Malaria parasite infected erythrocytes and Cinchona plant used as a anti-Malaria drug.
