*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***Can anyone please help with some information with this stamp. Is it a stamp or something else? I assume it's a common stamp and not rare? Many thanks.

Correction to above: Your stamp is perf 12. You have several catalog choices depending on which of two watermarks or none. |

It is very important to start with the basic facts. The OP's stamp is perf 12. It is not perf 11. It is not J62. Period. For those who think the OP's stamp is perf 11, I am willing to make a $50 donation challenge to the Stamp Community website. Loser donates. Any takers? |

Not a taker rogdcam? For closure for everyone else, since about 20 hours has passed since the last post here, let's demonstrate the OP's stamp is perf 12 .... Using the plate block of J62 in the upper left of PPG's post, which is perf 11, I re-sized the OP's stamp very carefully to make the printed image match exactly the same height/width as the J62, ignoring the unprinted edges. Then two copies of the OP's stamp were then placed along the block's length and width aligning the perf hole marked with a green line. The blue line is about halfway along the stamp (or about 1cm) and the perfs are misaligned by about a half-perf. The orange line other end (or about 2cm from the starting point and the span of a perforation gauge) nearly aligns and is almost exactly 1 perf-hole more frequent than the perf 11 block. Thus the OP's stamp will be perf 12. (I stated the OPs stamp was perf 12 in a post before the perf 11, J62 blocks were posted, so yes, I used a somewhat different gauging method, but thought comparison with a block would be a good visual method here.) |

 J30
 J32, J39, J39, J46, J46, J53 perf 10
J30, J32, J39, and J46 are all perf 12. Maybe you do the same thing with one of these. |

Using the first block, id'd as perf 12.... match the printed image width, then see how the perfs align .... |

What is this technological black magic you practice! If it makes anyone happy and in the spirit of the holiday season, I will concur with any perforation rate that is proposed. Ho-Ho-Ho!!! |

That old black magic has me in its spell, that old black magic that you weave so well. And I got to show everyone some nifty old postage dues too. Merry Christmas!!! |
