I recently acquired a bunch of foreign stamps which I'm organizing in my collection. I'm currently working on China stamps and have come across a couple I have problems identifying. One is Sun Yat Sen A57 #354 surcharged $800. The other is a green 2 cent picturing the great wall with a tower flying a flag

Welcome to Stamp Community Forum, Ivy Vimba! Pictures please, there are often too many different varieties of these stamps. I'm headed out of town, I will check back when I can, but I'm sure someone else will be able to help you as well! |

Think of the scanning time I'll save by just having Rod post pix of what I'm asking about... Impressive, once again. Ivy, if the meaning of the text on Rod's image isn't clear, the Great Wall stamp is a revenue stamp, so it doesn't appear in Scott. Welcome. |

Collin, that flag has always intrigued me, (perhaps I should solicit Londonbus) All I can see remotely similar is the Chinese Naval Standard,
any sage advice on the flag? or perhaps just artists interpretation.

You see different references to horizontally-striped flags in black, red, green, yellow and white. The artist doesn't seem to try to imply any variation in color values for the stripes, so maybe it is an interpretation, based on the five-stripe design? |

Men don't understand women, Dianne let alone read their minds. Would you be worried if we could read yours? I remember once picking up a book in a shop, "What men know about women" |

I have searched on the internet, the flag is the national flag of early stage(1912-1928) of the founding of the Republic of China, the colour are red, yellow, blue, white, black. Also is the high level official flag of navy in the Qing Dynasty. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ivy Vimba! |
