Does anyone know the catalog numbers for the KGV Admiral Booklets?
I am trying to find these and have had no luck. I have several I need to identify by a catalog number.
Thank you.

The booklet panes are identified in Scott under the regular stamp, but with the letter designation 'a'.
For instance, the 1c booklet pane is 104a, the 2c is 105a and 105b, etc. For complete booklets, you need to refer to the Unitrade catalogue of Canada stamps, which uses the Scott numbering system, meaning the individual panes are the same catalog number as Scott, but they have additional information on varieties. |

Thank you Rileysan and Walkman82 for the information on the stamps! I was able to find the panes in my old Scott catalog. The question still remains on how the booklets themselves are identified.
I have one booklet with the three denominations in panes of 4. (I believe the 105a, 107b, and 108a are in this booklet, but I know nothing of varieties. That booklet has the blue covers, in English.) Since it has three different denominations, one modified Scott number won't describe this particular booklet. Also, I have the booklet of the 107c with the rate change notice, so I suspect that booklet must be a different number too?
Does the "Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps" identify the entire booklets with a catalog number? If so, I'll go buy a copy to complete my research.
Thanks again!

The admiral issue booklets with 3 panes of 1c yellow 2c green and 3c - have two different + subs. The 3 c brown (108a) is in unitrade BK9 and 3c carmine (109a) is in unitrade BK10. More info required to determine any sub #s. As for 107c, unitrade shows - it is in booklet pane of 6 x 2c yellow green(107bs) wet printing (BK6), Dec 1922. Unitrade 107b - f- 107c, dry printing. Other variations.
Edit- a couple scanned images would help.

No1philatelist, thank you for the information. Unfortunately, the stamps are in the booklets, so it is extremely difficult (impossible) to scan them. The blue booklet must be the BK9 because it has the brown 3c stamps. I think I will get the Unitrade book and study the stamps in the booklets and learn a bit more about them.

Even photos of covers would still be helpful. BK9a - in unitrade is listed as - sans serif capitals with war tax information BK9b in unitrade is listed - as "a", bright blue covers , dark blue tape. BK9c listed as - "b", no tape
Unitrade - 2c yellow green (107bs), 2 panes of 6 (109c), Dec 1922 BK6 with 2 panes, is not listed with " rate changes" on cover. They only list the following - BK6 a- sans serif capitals with war tax information b- as "a" , no binding tape c- slogans inside, small capitals d- slogans inside, large capitals
Hope that helps. |

The Unitrade catalog has a booklet section in between standard postage and semi-postal listings, ranging from BK3 through BK10 for the King George "Admiral" issues. There are too many varieties for each booklet to try to type here, but I'll give a couple examples:
BK3 - 1c green, 4 panes of 6 stamps, March 1913 a) Deep Blue Green 18mm x 21mm: English $1250. French $1500 b) Blue Green, 18mm x 21mm, squat printing: English $1000. French $3000 c) Yellow Green, 17.75mm x 21.5mm, vertical wove paper, serif capitals on rate sheet: English $250. French: $500 d) Same as 'c' sans serif capitals on rate sheet e) etc f) this is a lot of typing
You get the idea. Complete booklets have a lot of varieties and range in value from $150 for the cheapest booklet to $3000 for the most expensive. Those with French on the cover sheet tend to be the most valuable.
Cheers!

Rileysan, Thank you for the additional information! I am in process of obtaining catalog data--so you can stop typing! I really appreciate all you, and others have done for what I thought was a simple question!
