They are, especially since they appear to be rotary coils. If by chance they are actually flat plate coils they might well be fake.

Thank you gentlemen. Anyone want to guess what grade they might come back as? A lot to ask I know but I figured I would give it a shot anyhow.

I just noticed the Line in N on the right 1 cent's "CENT." I would look it up, but my French"s is buried.

This is from the PF and can give you a basis for guessing what grades you may get:

OK, I'll play along. 80 for the 1c and 85 for the 5c. Centering for the 1c might be 85 but the fuzzy perfs and possible overall toning reduces it a grade in my book. The left stamp of the 5c pair is nice but the right stamp is decidedly higher, which detracts from a higher grade.

These may seem low, but based on my experience getting disappointed with getting back low grades for stamps I thought were perfect.

I would think 85 for the one, and at least 90 for the five with an outside shot at 95.

Usually, a Kiusalas U.S. gauge can separate the perforation 10 flat plate (K 10-79) from the perforation rotary press (K 10-80) coil stamps. Also, on flat plates, the perforation holes are usually not directly across from each other while on the rotary press, the perforation holes are directly across from each other. Of course, rotary press stamps are longer (or wider) than flat plate stamps.

It would also be worth checking if the 5c is the "small hole" perforation variety.
