If you are sure, no need to check here. Just send it to the Philatelic Foundation for a certificate. |

Your stamp is the rotary press Scott 632, perforated 11 (horizontally) x 10.5 (vertically). If you move your stamp to align with the "dots" of the perforation gauge, you will see that the vertical perforations do no align with the 11 gauge, but do align with the 10.5 gauge.
If you truly believe you have a Scott 596, then submit it to an expertization agency to get a certificate (if you intend to sell it, you will need to get a certificate).

JLG0042: Instead of showing umpteen images with a badly aligned perf gauge, or images of two stamps badly overlaid on one another, post: 1. One image with the horizontal perfs aligned to the perf gauge 2. One image with the vertical perfs aligned to the perf gauge
In your case, the horizontal perfs are 11, while the vertical perfs are 10.5. You have a very common Scott 632. End of discussion.
Of course you are free to send your stamp for certification. Costs you a ton of money and will get you a certificate that says: Scott 632. |

As stated above, this stamp is perf 11 at top and bottom and perf 10 1/2 left and right. Scott 632. Billions printed. |

No one will buy it in an auction, unless you have a certificate. Or are you implying an ebay auction? Anyone can claim anything there and (perhaps) find a buyer. Good luck. |

How on earth does this image show a perf. 11? At the top there is a line well below a perforation tip and at the bottom there is one well above the perforation tip. |

whatever im not steady enough ican line it up perfectly but I cant place under camera without my hand shaking or without tremor bumping and stopping the minust of shifts and alignment shift every time I lift pressure after precisly allignment. well find out either way soon enough and this stamp is part of aworld collection that without doubt is way above the average regardless on what one perticular stamp turns out to be if your interested ill send some pics of what are quite valuble stamps. I apoligize if wasted your attention this is not my intention. thankyou for your advice |

I hope your collection is what you say it is.
The whole story about steadiness is utterly irrelevant for this picture, it does not change that it does not align with gauge 11. An unsteady hand makes a picture fuzzy, it does not make lines close on each other but perforation tips not.
As for the quality of the stamp itself: it is heavily toned and nowhere near average.

Best of luck selling this thing. If/when it sells for an uncountable amount at auction, I hope you'll come back to rub some noses in it. Dale |
