I know I ask a lot of questions but I'm trying my best to learn. I keep coming up with a Z grill but I want to be sure.

Can we have a scan (not a photo) of both the front and back? That would be extremely helpful to identifying this issue.

Not an expert, but I count 14 x 17 making it an E grill.

Partime, I believe you are correct. 14 x 17. I can see it now.

m and m, I kinda like the ink transfer on the back.

Without seeing the front of the stamp, we can't tell you if that is a transfer (setoff) from stacking stamps on top of one another. Rather, it looks like what you get when a stamp is in a stamp album with black-and-white pictures for each stamp that belongs in that spot. It would take several years for that to happen, but that is what I am seeing. So, not really desirable, and a good bath will make that stamp look much nicer.

That is from an album, not offset from production.

I think you may be right about the transfer being from an album.
Different stamp but just for reference.
