On September 20, 1996 Norway issued a special booklet of 8 different, 3.50 kr stamps in conjunction with the Norway '97 stamp show. The theme of the booklet is Norway Post's 350th anniversary. One of the stamps (Facit #1267) depicts a rural delivery postman on a bicycle.

The KARMSUND postmark on the stamp refers to an area, rather than a specific municipality.

From Wikipedia, Karmsund is a strait located in Rogaland County, Norway. The 30 kilometer (19 mi.) long strait divides the island of Karmey on the west and the mainland of Norway and the island of Vestre Bokn on the east."
