Here is the 1937 1 cent Cod stamp. It appears to have many print issues with this stamp. Mostly it is hard to find a copy that is CRISP and CLEAN. I have about 50 copies and they all show some KISS print or doubling. Why is it mostly specific to this certain stamp. See attached examples.

this first stamp I would categorize as a "COMPLETE DOUBLING" almost 1mm


this one is about .25 mm


and this one is possibly a RE-ENTRY. As you can see the inner upper left hand corner frame line is missing!



Does anyone have any explanation on why. "Mostly this stamp has doubling" and does anyone have a possible plate position for the re-entry?
