I am having a bit of trouble with a couple of these.

The one on the far left I think is Scott #43 and the one on the far right I think is Scott #32. The second one form the left appears to also be the A7 variety like the one on the left, but it is printed on what looks like cardboard. Strange. Is it a stamp too then?

The red one I think is some kinf of overprint, but I can seem to find the variety.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Marc

I think you may have gotten the Scott numbers a little mixed in your post.

The leftmost and rightmost stamp you will need to measure the perf (it will either be perf 15 or perf 14).

From left to right --

1. either #28 (perf 15) or #40 (perf 14)
2. probably a cut-out from an envelope or card, not Scott-listed
3. the overprint is a precancel; Scott does not list precancels for Belgium unless the stamp was ONLY issued pre-canceled; you can still use the ID of the stamp and note that it is precanceled
4. either #32 (perf 15) or #43 (perf 14)

Great stuff Kim. Thanks.

On #2 - Would it have any value as an envelope or card cut out?
On #3 - Do you happen to know what type the ID type of the stamp itself. I couldn't find it in any form actually.

Cheers.. Marc

There are those who collect them. To get an idea of the value, you would have to look it up in the Higgins and Gage catalog, which I do not have.

Design A82, Scott #266

It is a 1939 precancel.

Thanks Kim. Either way, none of these 4 seem to be worth anything. As an aside, no need to worry about perfs on those 2 I think. At this point I am just range valuing stuff mostly to try and determine what is worth putting aside as having value and what it just wroth throwing back in the bigger box. So unless there is a big difference in value potentially between whether something is one perf or another its probably not worth the time to bother worrying about which variety it is. At least that is my general thought and approach at this point and just thought I would mention that so you know why I am not to fussed about slight variations at times. Cheers. Marc
