Yeah, those are the ones. Unfortunately the price went up about 2 years ago. Before then, you could get them <$30, and even cheaper if there was an overstock or clearance sale. Still, even at the current price, it is still more economical if you have the need for large albums.

I noticed in your pic you had dust cases. I don't use dustcases, but an often overlooked benefit of using dustcases (beyond keeping out the dust) is that it provides support for your binder, especially when your album starts getting full or if you thumb through your album frequently.

If you can afford dustcases and you make heavy use of your albums, I strongly recommend getting dustcases or making some on your own.

wt1 do you know if there are any issues with the black divider insert? Posters or photos would not have any problems but would there be a chance of stamps sticking to this?

The Art Profolios have black divider sheets in each page protector. Quite honestly, I've only used them for modern self stick sheets; not sure if the divider sheets would have any affect on gummed postage stamps.

I do have some older sheets of gummed postage stamps that are stored in sheet-size glassine books, such as this one made by Honor-Bilt (a product of the old H.E. Harris Co.). I don't think they sell that particular item anymore, but some used ones are quite often found on ebay:

I just went out and bought the iToya Art Portfolio retail from Michaels for $15.99. I bought the 9x12. Going to try it out at home tonight. Now I just need a list of all the mint sheets the US Post Office has produced with unique stamps for each position.

That will depend upon what additional restrictions you might include.

If you are only considering panes of 50, there's about half a dozen. If you include any size, such as 40, 20, 15, 10... (but don't include booklets and souvenir sheets) then you're talking roughly 50 or so.

I stopped collecting them, but I was able to put them all in a mint sheet album with a capacity of 100 with room to spare. Even with the flood of issues in the past decade, I don't expect the total to exceed that.

Panes less than 50 will fit into a stamp mount and can be placed on a 8 1/2" x 11" paper in a stamp album. So, I'm only concerned with the sheets that won't fit in a standard stamp album.

If you are still looking some other alternatives that I use for these type are shown here. Cost on these is not bad at all except on the larger books. They are all glassine interleaves.

This one holds almost a hundred sheets and is a great sheet album. It says 48 but it has a double pocket so it is actually 96.

Couple of older auction buys.

This one can be expanded and is excellent one for protection.

Oh great thread as I too was wondering about this. I have a very old white ace mint sheet binder that has to be around forty or fifty years old at least overflowing with my us mint sheets. I use the same type of glassine slips as 1775mac, but they are pages that go into the three ring binder and I'm out.

I just purchased a binder with 50 SuperSafe polyfilm pages for $37 + shipping. Each page holds two mint sheets with a black polyfilm partition between. The album isn't fancy but seems durable. You can check it out on GreenDragonStuff.com. I dont have photos, but the website does.
