I'm intrigued that in some countries multiples are much sought after and in others they're not considered of interest.
If my block of ten had been Germanias, for example, I suspect, it would be regarded as a valuable item.
In some cases, even pairs are very rare. I think I saw on the Siegel website an example of a US stamp of low denomination that was apparently almost unknown in pairs, so a pair went for a small fortune.
However, there is often no way for the humble collector to know these things.
This stamp is the most expensive I've ever purchased - although it did come as part of a large lot, the only reason I bidded high was to make sure I got this particular datestamp.
