With an average perf of say 10.75 does this mean its an 11 perf or a 10 1/2 sorry, perf thanks. The stamp in question is a 3 cent washington typeII violet.

How old? Got a scan? Might be 11, might be re-perfed.

you may be confusing perfs per side and perfs per 20mm [the standard]

I believe your stamp is most likely either the perf. 11 flat plate Scott 502 or the perf. 11x10 rotary press Scott 541 (both are type II 3c Washingtons).

It might help if you would post a scan of the stamp.
