Disregard my question. It appears you were looking at the height?

And WOW nice find. And south of 10? That's the best part!

There is another article by Larry S. Weiss in the booklet "Perforation Measurement of United States Stamps", Bureau Issues Association, Inc., reprint series, No. 2. I mention this because in the article "Perforation Measurement and Scott 544, discusses my 544 which is unique amount all the other 544's at the time. My 544 using the Kiusalas gauge measures out to 11-72 x 11-72. So your 544 is only the second one that measures out to 11-72 x 11-72 that I know of. Nice find!

I bought me 544 in a group of precancels when I was stationed in England. Had to go to England to find it! Costs me 1 quid for a small box of Washington Franklins stamps. 1 Quid was $5 back then, so prorate it out my stamp cost me about .04 cents U.S.

Anyway enjoy!

I've read the article. Who would have though you'd discover one in England! Super price too! Thanks for the comments!

Al E. Gator

Hey, it was cold in England, living in the senior NCO barracks, really I was looking for interesting precancels.

You might say, I was just the guy holding the perf. gauge!
