I bought these in bulk a few years back , however I'm more interested in coins etc. As I know very little about these , I was wondering what the value of them were. All info will be greatly appreciated. (I'm sorry for the bad quality scan but its the best I can do at the minute. If there is any particular stamps that you would like to see in a close up photograph , I could do that.) Much appreciated , John.

The two cent 'Black Jack' (Jackson) has some value but note that many of the stamps shown have condition issues. So overall... Don |

Could we get a better look at the 5c blue, top row, third stamp from the right? I can't tell if it is cancelled or has a scrape or what... If sound then it and the blackjack and the 2c green top row are the only keepers in this bunch. For all else, the fireplace awaiteth.

Everything has a value to somebody it's just a question of how much someone is willing to pay. There are a lot of purists in the hobby that will find fault if a halftone dot is out of place. Don't get discouraged by the nay sayers. |

"EssayK" here is the close photograph that you asked for ( although I think youre correct when you say its a scrap) Can anybody put an individual price on the stamps which is worth a slight bit? Just so I know for the future. Thankyou everybody who replied to me as now I know that there are no jewels in the bunch , but I had to make sure of it. Much appreciated! Once again , thankyou. John. (I had to crop it down to this extreme size because the photo will still slightly over 200 KB - even when optimised.) |

John, The stamps shown most all have condition issues (torn, missing perfs, etc.) and as such few people would assign any value on them. Look closely at the Black Jack (2c Black Jackson stamp) which is one of the more desirable stamps. The centering is not great but for this issue not too bad; but note the upper right hand corner of the stamp. The perfs are either pulled or trimmed. Any stamp which has missing perfs, is torn, creased, or otherwise damaged is not going to be very salable.
While I would not say throw them away, I would not recommend trying to sell any of these stamps. First, you would not get more than a few Euros for them. Second, you might find yourself having to refund money and absorb return shipping costs if the buyer is unhappy with the condition.
If you have additional stamps please post more images and we will try to assist you in understanding their value. Don

Thank you for taking the trouble, John. Even if the stamp were unused as it first looked to me, the scrape would destroy most of its value. But now that I see the stamp is used, the scrape does indeed make it scrap.
If the blackjack has a grill it might be worth more than a couple of pounds (pending other damage). If you show us a close look at the back of that stamp we can say more. The 2c green in upper left corner might be worth up to a half pound, if it is completely sound. All the rest together you might hope for a pound, if you could find a buyer. |

"51studebaker" thanks for the advice. I probably wouldnt sell them anyway , im just curious the price of them. I have other pre 1940 USA stamps but somethings telling me that theyre more common and hold even less value than these. However I can show you's scans of them if you like? Here is a close up of the jackson stamp ( back and front) and also the green stamp ,"essayk". Thanks all , for taking the time out to help me. John (I also have a lot of these(in red and green) this one (I believe )being in the best condition. |
