This place has been fun to look around in. I got all these stamps from my parents so I'm not really sure of value or anything. Not that it really matters since I doubt I will sell them, just wanted to showcase it a bit...

Welcome axc77. From your picture it's hard to identify the nominal value of most stamps. But I can see you have stamps of the Ancient Chinese Art Treasures series of 1961 and 1962 of The Republic of China (Taiwan). I have Scott cat. 2007 so the value maybe have change since then. The most valuable stamp I can spot is the Scott #1307 $3.60 perforated disk which has a value of $21.00 mint never hinged. The series 1302-1307 (1962) has a value of $64.75. The geese stamp are much less valuable unless you have the $1 and the $3 witch worth $9.00 and $11.00. The flag stamp is #1486 valued $3.00. You have 2 stamps of the series 1370-72. I think they are #1370-71 (birds) $4.00 and $5.50.

But to have an accurate market value you can go at your local library. Most of them have the newest Scott cat. You know now these are quit valuable stamps.

Wow, thanks for the info. I never knew these were that valuable. I definitely have to check out the Scotts catalog.

Welcome axc77.

A warning about catalogue values - they are the prices at which the stamp dealers who publish the catalogues will try to sell the stamps to you. Generally MNH (=mint never hinged) stamps sell for up to 50% of cat value - sometimes more if you're lucky, but often less (for example I recently bought a collection of MNH Australian Antarctic Territory stamps from a dealer for 20% of catalogue value).

The more valuable the stamp, the closer the catalogue value is to the true value. Once you have the Scot catalogue numbers, check ebay to get an idea of what they are actually worth.

But hey, stamp collecting is a fantastic hobby - and these look like lovely stamps. They could be part of your own collection building on what your parents did!

If you do want to sell any stamps, get up to 50 posts and try selling (or trading) here.

I don't really have any desire to sell these off since I got them from my parents unless I drastically need money. But it is fun checking up on prices and stuff. Buying Asian stamps are a little harder in USA. Most stores either don't have much and when they do they ask for a pretty high amount. Japanese stamps are the hardest to get out of all the Asian countries. Here are some more Taiwan stamps.

I love the stamps with the flying cranes (or are they geese?).
