Here is another neat re-entry. The stamp is a bit ratty but with the re-entry being in the left margin, I am happy with the poor centering. Scott #19ii, position 100, major re-entry GJP |

Chipq, I like the re-entry pages. I wonder though if the arrows might be a bit too distracting.
Have you tried highlighting the re-entry portion in a different colour instead of using arrows? Just a thought. |

Unitrade/Scott 30vi 15c grey large queen with "Balloon Flaw" Tall stamp with extra large bottom margin which includes part of the bottom Plate imprint. Centered high touching perforations "Balloon flaw" is the dot on the bottom center. I think that this may be the position dot for the bottom imprint? but I do not know where that position dot is supposed to be located. Perf. 12, Position dot lower left, dot on right margin? |

Love the Newfoundland pair. Great margins
This stamp is from 1857 or 1861 of course. One of 38,000 stamps issued, per Walsh/NSSC its #17 or #18 (Scott # is as you referenced)
Note that there are two Die versions (Die I and Die II), which relate to the slant of the "3" and the "A" in "Postage"
Also, the 1857 stamps (Die I or Die II) has different paper characteristics (green ink flecks on reverse =1857, else its 1861.
Lastly, check to see if there is a watermark--the value/rarity is much higher. Its the "Stacey Wise 1858" mark
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the idea of dropping the background and highlighting the background. Here's what I came up with for the 17 cent. The 3 cent reentries will be harder - I may try to lighten the scans on the re-entries.com site, print them out, then color them in. Won't be able to do it electronically, like I did with this one. Let me play a bit. Enjoy. Chip |

Those page mounts for the re-entries are great in both forms bit still the fainter second set shows the stamp off better.
Great work |
