Scan or photograph say about 10 pages and you should get some comments here once the variety of stamps can be seen.

What countries are covered?

Welcome to stamp collecting and the forum! In most cases a collection is not worth much if your nan was a casual collector. If you are thinking on adding to her collection or one day passing on the collection to a younger member of your family keep it as a memento of your nans love for stamps. If you are looking just for the value an easy way to find out if your stamps are valuable or not is to go to your local library. Look to see if they have a price catalog for postage stamps. Most libraries carry a set of Scott catalogs that list the year, gives you price, and a reference number of the stamp to search more. If there is a very low value for the stamp, figure that the stamp is plentiful and the price is set to what the dealer needs to sell the stamp at to keep the roof over his shop. For a dealer / collector to actually buy that stamp they would want buy it at a much lower amount.

I'd take Bas' advice and scan a few pages you think look good here and can get a very quick opinion. Otherwise, if there is a stamp dealer near where you live, they will often take a quick glance through and let you know if there's anything of value. The other option would be to go to a local library and try to obtain a copy of a stamp catalogue and do it yourself (more time consuming, but you'll learn a ton!).
