Hi warrenthamm.

As much as I would like to help with shades it is just not going to happen online because our screens etc change how we see your original shade posting.

The lime yellow is described to have that real citrus look to the shade. I do not think it is an easy shade to pick. I believe I have many yellows that were lime yellow.

Just for the record your shade posted looks pale orange to me.

KGV Collector,
thank you for your replay, its a bit confusing of all the shades that are out there, I received a collecting of stamps but they were all on stock sheets all the stamps are from 1880's through 1930's and im trying to figure out what exactly I have. I do appreciate you replay :-) could I send you a couple of pictures of some KGV stamps that im having a hard time with the colors? I like to hear what you have to say thank you so much

I have to agree with KGV Collector ,the color is too dark for a lime-yellow.Your best advice would be to get the color wheel/strips that Stanley-Gibbons sells and use that .If your going to study shades you also need the specility catalogs that break it down much more than a general use catalog.

Shades in Australian KGV's is very complicated in many areas. It is a 10 lifetime study when it comes to KGV shades.

We have some of the best technical information on Australian stamps than any other country in the world especially in KGV's. A shade is more a shade group in KGV's.

I have been stuck on 1d reds for more than a decade as 422 shades have been recorded in this colour alone.

Have not spent much time with KGV shades in general as I am an isolated collector in that respect. A person needs to be in a group where shade information is passed down to the newer collectors to really understand the KGV shades.

Always Happy Stamping. KGV
