Since it looks like v1.4 is going to be a while, here's an incremental update -- v1.3.5.
Changes from v1.3
1. Added a fifth text field, Face Value. 2. Added a new style that's a single box with Face Value centered, a la Steiner. 3. Added limited ability to use small caps font with Face Value, a la Steiner 4. Added ability to change stack order of the text boxes, so you're no longer limited to the old hardcoded order (Title, Date, Catalog, then Caption) in which the text boxes were placed vertically.
Installation
Once again, an additional step is necessary to make presets work. Due to the addition of new options on the Settings tab, old presets no longer align properly with the settings on the Settings tab. To fix this, before using presets, go to the Presets tab and click the first button on the SAPG toolbar. This will add the new blanks to the presets on your Presets tab, making the presets once again align properly with the Settings tab. You'll also need to manually re-set Row 3 of your presets after the update. See the video.
Quote: Andy, on some Mystic pages I recall you changed the style of the catalog number so it would be transparent so it would not show. You just had to change the catalog number style to black and it showed up. Maybe you are saying the same thing.
There is a layer aspect but think it is not the same as some graphics. They are degrees since you can select an object under another object until they are too many layers apart. It is like being translucent to a certain depth.
As I understand it, the lowest layer is 1 (where you start) and then as you add stuff the layers build up.
The pages I released used a paragraph style for the catalog number. I changed the text color to white and others could change it back to black to make it appear again.
Scribus also has "layers" as a feature. You can stick a whole mess of stuff in one layer and choose to hide or show that one layer, kind of how Photoshop does it.
You're discussing layering of objects on the same layer. When you have a bunch of elements all piled up, you can choose which order the objects are stacked. These are layered, but only relative to each other, not the whole document.
I think that this is fantastic and would love to try this out. When I get to this Scribis stable branch, which version do I download when none match Windows 10?
I've run into a problem downloading Scribus. 1st download, after downloading with Edge, I told the machine to open the Scribus app with Explorer, and to include all additional fonts. It then wanted an additional download (greyworm?). Too confusing.. so I removed Scribus, and tied to re download, now I keep getting an error message, "A previous version had been found in this directory. You must uninstall it first." I've un-installed every thing I can find mentioning Scribus.. Keep getting that message.. What have I done?
I've done that twice yesterday and once this morning, same result. I did find a Scribus file in Program files while browsing for a folder to install the new up load into. But the only way I could fid to remove that file was to right click DELETE. Would that work?
Perhaps this discussion should be taken off the board. Email? And thank you for your help!
I had some users who were trying to duplicate Steiner pages, but needed a little walkthrough. So, I made another video. If you'd like to use the script to make Steiner-like pages, check it out.
Having some difficulties getting started. Downloaded Scribus 1.4.6, ghostwriter, already have OO 4.18. When I open the oo batch file, I get a message about unicode and default u.s. The manual says I should get five tabs, but there is only one. Also there are Kanji like characters across the top.

What am I doing wrong?
I would switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice and see if that helps. OpenOffice is pretty much abandonware at this point.
