This one here is only 14 days before the crash of '29! October 15th! Now of course this don't add any monetary value, but the history is just fascinating and in my mind has far more worth than money. You can't buy history unless you're a stamp collector perhaps?

here is a calendar for 1929 - http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=1929

Henry W. Peabody & Co., Dr.

More on Larus & Brother Tobacco is referenced here. They were in business from 1877 through 1974.

As for Henry W. Peabody & Co., they at one time did import tobacco products among other things. Interestingly, the company is still in business today, with an office at Lynnfield, Massachusetts, although they now employ only a few staff their focus has changed to jute & woven polypropylene products:

Incidentally, if you ever want to read an extensive biography of the namesake of the company, Henry Wayland Peabody (1844-1908), it's available online at this link:

This connects "tobacco" with the Henry W. Peabody Company back in the day. Note they were into importing and exporting all sorts of goods, but were specifically an exporter of tobacco products:

My hat's off to you I_Love_Stamps! It appears that it took a lot of time to post all those beautiful pictures for us to view. And view I did, each and every one of them and plan on revisiting them again!

Congratulations on a magnificent collection!
