Here are some of my used copies, with some more arriving in the mail in next few days. It contains both Booklet stamps, as well as SS stamps. I wanted to have a good assortment for my new never hinged, as well as my "used" collection. I may have a few spare to offer later if they arrive "unhurt" in my mail box.... |

I always make my own covers for any stamps not issued by CP on an OFDC. As CP's OFDC has the souvenir sheet, mine has the five different stamps from the booklet. |

Anyone know if they will take a new image and re-issue the Dinosaur Provincial Park stamp? |

"We were just remiss in our research," said Canada Post spokeswoman Anik Losier. "We have a rigorous approval process, and we missed a step, and that's unacceptable. And that's why we are taking full responsibility, and we will find a new image and reissue the series." from CBC article: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...rk-1.3142105They just reprinted the Lueders/Leuders, reversed lighthouse & migratory "faune" mistakes. They did not recall, as I recall. |

Okay, so I dropped by my weekly post box (in a foreign country) and lo, and behold, there were the recalled booklet, the recalled souvenir sheet and the recalled postcard waiting for me (from Canada Post). I also visited my local post lady and she told me she received the recall order just an hour or so after I was there last Monday. ebay is swamped with this issue, selling quite well ($30-40), yet the availability was there for any quick-witted philatelist. |

I'm waiting to see if my standing order will be filled. As of Saturday, several of the smaller CP outlets still had stock for sale (Brampton Ontario) but the other outlets from which I had purchased souvenir sheets and booklets had returned the items. So if you have a small outlet in your area, you may still get "lucky". |

Given the wide availability of these stamps, they will never be worth more than 2 or 3x face value in the long term. You can hardly call them rare when some people are able to hoard hundreds of them. There are well over 100 listings on ebay and they keep growing. Prices are already dropping. |

I went to my Ottawa stamp outlet today and they told me that all have been returned to CP. I was also told that if I come back in a few days, I may be able to get some of the new stamps (without specifying what it means...) |

Inasmuch as we have not heard from other bloggers that they had received their UNESCO Hoodoo stamps from Canada Post, may I conclude that I received mine because it was an international order and maybe sent out earlier? (before the bison poo hit the wind turbines?) |

My credit card was charged for my standing order items for this issue on June 30 but I haven't yet received any stamps. Based on previous experience they should have arrived by now, so I'm assuming they won't be coming. I'm in the US. |

Bizarre, philatomic. Canada Post says it will not charge your card until shipping. Maybe there's pandæmonia reigning at Antigonish, wherein rugby-like squads of pro-senders are pressing your package forward, only to be hurled back by anti-senders trying to prevent your package from making to the delivery truck, and the boss, a little old lady, is hitting everyone with her purse. |

Quote: ...This is a stack of 50 booklets, still in its unopened cellopack. I'll hang on to it for now Those unopened 50 packs are not that rare. I have two of them myself and my friend has a couple. If I were I were you I would get rid of them as fast as possibe as the prices for them have dropped like a rock. Some finished auctions per single booklet are selling below $20. While booklets are easy to find, souvenir sheets are harder to find. So prices for the souvenir sheet are stable on ebay. |
