I received the $2.50 UNESCO booklet over the weekend in the same standing order shipment as the Alice Munro booklet. But no $1.20 UNESCO booklet.

The latest "Details", August 2015/No. 7 states that "the Dinosaur Provincial Park features an incorrect image. The stamp and related products have been removed from sale. A new version of the stamp, OFDC, postcard and souvenir sheet will be available in the near future."

No explanation, and I've been too busy to follow up with Canada Post. Since the replacement stamps probably won't be issued for some time, perhaps they'll issue a credit. I'm not too worried that it will eventually be resolved. In the meantime, I've purchased both the booklet and souvenir sheet on ebay.

Does anyone have info on when the replacement stamps are to be made available? If so, will they keep the other "non error" stamps in the new booklets and souvenir sheets? If so, will the new emission be given a separate Unitrade/scott number?...As you can imagine, there will be lots of questions, and so far, few responses coming from Canada Post.....

Hi vancan, that sentence you posted needs something! And welcome to the forum. I looked at your lead, and I believe the sale was ended, but the card was not sold?

Thanks Peter for welcoming a newbie. Please let me know what it needs on that sentence I posted? I saw the pcard on the sold listings, so I would assume it wasn't ended.

Yesterday I saw the email to the Postmasters advising that the replacement souvenir sheet has been issued and is being forwarded to postal outlets. The issue date is unchanged from the original on the email, so the real replacement printing date is unknown. There is no news release information on Canada Post's web site about the re-issuance.

I called the Philatelic unit at 12:45PM today and was advised they have no information other than the re-issuance of the souvenir sheet. Nothing on the number printed, printing date, booklet or post card. They assume the number printed will equal the original souvenir sheet's number.

Interesting fact - Staff at the Philatelic Centre only have bare bones information on the reprinted issue unless they have your account number, putting them into a computer area which gives them more detailed information on what is available.

My 2:15 PM telephone today gave me much more information than the previously mentioned 12:45 PM call.

There is a souvenir sheet, booklet, post card and OFDC being reissued with the corrected image for the Dinosaur Provincial Park stamp. However, they still could not tell me the issuance date as they did not have an image of the OFDC or written information as to the date.

My standing order souvenir sheets will be mailed this Friday, but they didn't know when the post card or OFDC would be mailed out. I do not buy booklets from the Centre, but from my local post office.

I purchased the booklet today and noted that the UPC is different from the original printing. Other than the Dinosaur Provincial Park image, the other two images appear to be identical in colour, perforation, etc., to the originals.

The revised stamp and booklet front images.

The original booklet UPC is 063491091346

The reprinted booklet UPC is 06491092435

No sign of it yet on the Canada Post website. And they'll be off-line Aug. 21-3 to upgrade. I hope it's a lot faster when they're done.

I first heard about this recall from the Corgi Times article and missed this earlier SCF thread. Thus, I am two months too late on this issue and missed it.
