Has anyone found an alternate binder to use for Scott pages? For various reasons I'd like to try something other than the basic green binder.

Because their pages are so wide, you may have a very difficult time finding a 3 ring binder that the pages will fit.

I have not found any yet.

It is one way the album makes have a monopoly on binders and pages. Hence 3 ring, 4 ring, etc are very seldom interchngeable.

Hence why a lot of people use Steiner pages

Yeah, I share your suspicion that publishers deliberately make their products unusable with anyone else's. How else explain all the different configurations of page sizes and punching.

It was worth a try at least.

What are the dimensions of a page?

If it's just width that's the problem, a lot of binder manufacturers make binders that are wider than normal. They're designed for use with page protectors, which naturally add some width to a standard letter-sized page.

Like this.

Subway Stamp Shop http://www.subwaystamp.com/ sells oversized binders under their G&K house brand that work well. Item # ZGK821B I think. Supersafe mint sheet binders are also the same size.

I've looked into this, too. The We R Memory Keepers binders (available on ebay or Amazon) are nicely made 3-ring binders, but they lack slipcases (dustcases). They will take Scott Specialty pages, but just barely. Page edges are near the edges of the binder which I don't like.

Also consider Lighthouse Grande binders and Grande G (I think that's what it's called), two somewhat different sizes. One has round rings, the other has rectangular rings. These do have slipcases, and I think Scott pages fit them a bit better than the other binders. If you like 3-ring binders (I don't like them much) this might work well for you.
