Hello people,
can anybody tell me what this triangle postmark is?
My first thought that it is a censor mark noting that it is postmarked 10 Oct 1939.

Thanks in advance.
Lee.

Lee, it certainly looks the right shape for a censor's stamp but there are better authorities than me on this forum who can get you a good (correct) answer.

However, is there any way you can re-scan the stamp to show us more of the label as well? There's a few folk on this forum may like to see that as well!

The triangular postmarks were introduced in 1892 when the Post Office allowed printed matter to be mailed at the halfpenny rate. Usually posted in bulk they were accepted at the low rate on the understanding that the Post Office would not always be committed to delivering them as quickly as normal rate mail.
Triangular marks were originally done by hand and later incorporated into cancelling machines. They had telegraphic codes to identify the location and later they used office numbers.
These marks were also used as inspector's marks with district codes used.
As your scan is of a piece with a halfpenny stamp, I would assume it is a triangular machine cancel on printed matter.
