I'm trying to get my seven year old nephew started with stamp collecting and he has an interest in learning history. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest the best album pages that would have descriptions of each stamp?

Thanks

Well, I am not a fan of pre-printed pages, so I could not suggest any. But knowing how computer literate all 7 year olds are this day and age, why not help him with making his own? There are lots of great history related American stamps - I am sure he would love to design his own.

Depends on the price you want to pay, but for $ 40 this one is hard to beat

but I wonder how a 7 years old will handle those kind of 3 rings binder pages

Take a look at White Ace album pages published by Washington Press. Not inexpensive, but you can start with current supplements and work backwards if continuing interest warrants.

Here's a link:

You're looking at 3 albums:

1. Mystic Heirloom Album - https://www.mysticstamp.com/Product...s/DS111/USA/

Pros: Cheap Price. Great descriptions
Cons: Se-tenants are broken up at times and blocks of 4 are often strips of 4. Can lead to frustration for a new collector sometimes.

2. White Ace US Album- https://www.washpress.com/showWhite...sp?themeId=1

Pros: Great descriptions, nice thick paper. quality binders
Cons: In order to get all Scott numbers, you need to have 2 sets of se-tenants, so you can mount them connected and broken up. VERY VERY expensive

3. Scott Minuteman - http://www.amosadvantage.com//produ...sc=Minuteman

Pros: Descriptions, Se-tenants in Scott order number, oversize pages that can hold some of the larger se-tenants
Cons: Somewhat expensive, paper a bit thin

Nothing is going to beat the Mystic Heirloom in terms of price. And you can replace at least some of the se-tenant pages with "fixed" pages I made.

My dream has always been the Scott Minuteman on Scott National paper.

I second the idea of getting him into making his own pages. You can use Steiner pages as the starting point and then modify them by adding bits of historical text and photos from research you do together on the internet.
