Any idea what these should be?

They are all gummed.

Varro Tyler describes the most common forgeries as having a nick in the frame line of the upper right side, generally opposite the word "para".

Thank you for the info!

Some of them have nicks, some don't... a block of 4 (20 para) seems to be pretty different to block of 2 (with the same value) with the margins.

However, these don't look to me genuine at all, but I am still not sure what they are.

From my Serbia and Forgeries blog post......

http://bigblue1840-1940.blogspot.co...fSerbia.html

Genuine vs Forgery

Tyler (Focus on Forgeries-c2000) points out two signs for the forgeries.

The horizontal line under "APA" in the right upper portion of the stamp is shorter in the forgeries (1.2-1.4 mm vs ~1.5 mm).

And there is an obvious "nick" in the right frameline 6 mm below the top right corner. All my forgeries show this.

Genuine vs Forgery

I found a another "good" sign in addition. On the jacket design of the forgery, there is a thick vertical curved white line separated in the middle. This is not seen with the genuines. All of my forgeries show this quite clearly.

I think that I don't see any of those signs on my stamps... here is a better look on one of the blocks...

Thanks. I think that on originals, letters in "Para" are more regular and clear, and in forgeries (including mine) they are not so nice... they are curved, and not in the same line. It seems that really a lot of forgeries of these stamps exist, and especially forgeries of the essay/proofs, which is really unusual in the world of philately.

filipo, here is one from my Serbia collection, printed on front and back. Ink is a little too thick and created fractal-like patterns on the paper.

It looks to be a forgery, but it is not expertized.
