Turkey-middle east scott #28 pin perf 5 to 11 and compound?

This mint, hinged stamp located in my 1950s scott international
Postage stamp album fully illustrated edition

Turkey 1870-71 "crescent & star symbols of turkey"brown stamp 10pa brown stamp..if you view the bottom of the stamp in the photo.you will notice exactly (11) pin perfs with a (1869) surchage!

Does anybody have knowledge or clarity regarding these turkish stamps?

Scott 2011 cv says $500.00 for this particular stamp?

Sir,
It cannot be Scott #28 as it is a "Postage Due"
Look at the Postage due listings in Scott.

Also it is not 10 Paras, as it is designated in Arabic as 5
I'd suggest it is a J24 but I am not sufficiently experienced in Turkish Postage Dues.

Common mistake, I see one on ebay right now, asking $79 for a $3 stamp.

A courtesy reminder: On Forums it is considered "shouting" when you type in all Capitals, you may wish to go lower type in future.
Cheers

I'd suggest that is a Scott #32 5 Piastre Blue (Pin Perf) $4 / $12

Both your stamps, for Turkey are in good / excellent condition.

I'll look through my images for an Arabic numeral chart. (actually there is one in the Scott Catalogue, beginning of Turkey, the "5" looks like our zero "O" )

....Thanks Don,

Hello Kim,
Fairly representative of a typical page, one would buy at auction,
I would be paying around $10 -$14 for the page depending on the quality of stamps.

Your best, may I suggest, is the 1880-1884 last stamp right hand side "1 Piastres"
Black and Blue? or Black and grey blue.

That catalogues at $75 mint, I bought one this morning from ebay for $4.95
(hoping) it is a grey blue, ( I took a punt)

Now all you have to do, is fill in the missing gaps
Happy collecting.

PS: Not sure if it is a picture on the page ?

1876 10 Para black and white stamp, if it is a stamp, it is a postage due, and does not belong on that page.

PPS: The top two images of gentlemen, are Cinderella Stamps from the Scott publishing company, produced to be placed on Stamp Album pages, as yours.

Correction, the stamp at bottom of page is ripped / torn.
It is OK for me, but most collectors consider these "worthless"

PPPS : The bottom stamps, are referred to as "Ampir" stamps, but perhaps more correctly, should be "Crescent Stamps"
Ampir is a derivitive of the name on the stamp... Empire Ottoman.

The background is printed Lithography (left hand mirrors the right hand of the design)
and the text and design is Typography.
