these (3) bavarian germany states stamps in my world collection.

Scott catalogs this stamp "electricity harnessing light and water wheel"stamp 1920-scott 241 also has a 241a Type II.

On the 241a Type II scott cv is $1,100.00

does anybody in the stamp community world have insight or knowledge of the 241a type II stamp?

I have scanned the three stamps, and one of them seems to have an error..the stamp furthest to the right in the photo.

please help?

edw,

Type ll has the "foot of the 2 turns upwards"
Just compare your stamps under a magnifying glass, it soon should become apparent.

With respect.
Consider this.
If you were buying an engagement diamond, and the shop owner only allowed you to see it from 5 feet away, would you buy it?

If you think you have an error, identify the Scott number, then scan the stamp individually, around 600 dpi, then post the scan with your explanation of what you think is an error.
That way, we can be of most help to your investigations.

Good luck.

There are illustrations of the differences in both the Michel and SG Germany catalogues.

As well as the end of the foot turning up it the end is also much narrower and the bottom left of the 2 doesn't have an open loop.

I agree with what Rod says about the size of the image but my guess is that this is a normal type I stamp with surface damage.

All three are Type I.

Here's a Type II for comparison. Note the upturned tail on the "2".

very true if that's the case! A type I stamp with surface damage.

the stamp far right may have surface damage,or possibly "error"in the print run.

part of the number 2 missing"white area here" and other parts of stamp "white areas show where the white area should not show".Plus electric wheel at the very top of the stamp with hand attached. The wheel itself embedded with violet ink!

image upclose added-see additional image?
