print 71 and around have some almost glow in the dark blue colours, voilet blue they're called... print 71 in particular is beautiful, the frame is dark blue, very sharp and fine print, and the oval is violet blue... my favorite 4øre print.
a picture doesn't do it justice though. |

I agree, this one seems a lot "brighter" in person. I too love this shade. On a different note, can you identify this cancel? It almost looks like there are some sort of initials in the middle. but I guess it could also be a very smudged, common cancel. |

i'd have to go with a smudged cancel, for some reason the number 65 appears before me. |

Did you mean Facit 32h? Facit 26 is the 4s in my 2016 Facit Special Classic (with a much higher catalog value--I'm not that lucky ). Also, is that defect to the right of the "E" in ORE indicative of position 29? Thanks, Robert |

Sorsh, if you are still here: First, thank you for this wonderful thread. It is the reason I registered. You finally made me understand how to distinguish normal / reversed frame on the few bicolored Danish I have. Now, here are a few quadrants for your viewing pleasure. Top row, second one, is 1IIc, with expert report. Am I right in saying the first one is 1IIb? Second row, my attributions are 9, 2 x 7b, 7a. Is this right? I will try to post my bicolored as well, and ask for your opinions on my attributions. Thank you! |

Following up, here is the 3 Ore plate. The first two are perforation A, the this is perforation B, all seem to be normal frame. If you have comments, please let me know. |

Continuing, here is a plate of 4 Ore, perforation A, normal frame. My questions for you, if you have the time and willingness: 1. On row 4, the last stamp is... what color? Is this a decoloration, a known variety, or could fit into existing nuances? It seems basically green. 2. On row 5 there are three things which are clearly cutouts. But of what? Are there postcards with this image? Two of them are thinner than the usual postcard. Perhaps newspaper bands? |
