1. its inperf and has side ornaments, so between 5 and 8
2. upper and lower lines complete, type 2
3. upper and bothem ornaments part missing: I am at a sc#7

or is the top recut and its a #9???

it is only my second try, please be patient....

Looks to me like it's a #9 Type IV, single re cut top & bottom, also with a Double Transfer(left). From scan it is a little hard to tell, but I would say the position is 31L1L.

I agree with jmt406. Scott 9. Scan not so great but can see DT and recut top/bottom.

I agree with jmt, Scott #9, position 31L1L.

Dutch, I would revise your process to the following:

1) side ornaments complete, so not a trimmed perforated variety
2) one or both frame lines recut (if so then #9)
3) if no recuts then look at the relief type to narrow down plate possibilities (your stamp here is relief A from Plate 1, 2 or 3)
4) look at design features (completeness at top and bottom, completeness of frame lines) to determine type and Scott #

I thought you did well for a 2nd attempt. You did see the top recut. A new scanner will always be helpful. But this scan was good enough for the eagle eyed scholars here.

Defiantly. Much easier to see the DT, especially on the right of O of ONE.
