I agree with KGV Collector
Its classed as a "tin shed" I have a few & didn't pay much for them & don't consider them worth a small fortune but just an oddity . |

To make a forged example of this thread stamp flaw would take about 5 min using common kitchen cleaning products. |

I thought only constant varieties can be expensive errors?
are there any "accidents in printing" like this one which carry a big premium, so are there any examples at auctions? (not only KGV, maybe other stamps and countries) |

Hi Stampede I agree with pennyblackie, and I can assure you I do not have limited knowledge on Australian stamps, having just over 40 years of specialised collecting of valuable Australian stamps and writing up on them, I would say I have sound knowledge about stamps. I can extend that sound knowledge comfortably to KGV Collector, Aussie Al, rod222 and langtounlad. I literally spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on single stamps, I definitely wouldn't depart with $500 for that "tin shed", do you know what the reference of a "tin shed" stamp is. The stamp you have is not valuable, and by your comments I doubt you even have an inherited valuable stamp collection. If you do, what other Australian stamps do you have that you identify as "valuable" and could you upload the images including the backs of those stamps. Rob |

Mr Stampede
You said in an earlier post that you had "one single US stamp worth over 30 THOUSAND USD"
Can you post an image here please as not many have seen such valuable stamps.
Regards Frank |

I believe the $30K stamp the OP is referring to was his US inverted Jenny before he found out that it was a fake. Nobody on the "other" board said the KGV flaw was worth $500. As is the case here he told the other board members that he was offered the $500 and asked if he should have accepted it. I certainly would have taken it in a New York minute if offered to me but my guess is that that statement is just troll bait. |

Thanks for the picture in the reply so what do you value that? Not as striking as mine but still noticable none the less.

Ok, let me get everyone up to speed here. Our member here posted a bunch of material on the board down under and proceeded to get himself banned by making posts like the one above. Some of the material was decent but mostly common fare which he believes is worth bazillions. By telling other members that you know nothing about that your stuff is worth more than their stuff is simply trolling.
There is a polite way to ask for advice and it isn't insulting the ones that try and help. If you do a search of this (Australian) forum for material posted by Rob you'd see he is quite knowledgeable and has acquired some very scarce Aussie material that most of us will never own in a lifetime compared to your one tin shed flaw that you believe is worth big money. We all love to see others collections and material so please continue to post but also be aware that like the other board there are members here that have forgotten more about this stuff than some of us will ever know. |

BARGAIN !! ebay is great don't know why people talk down on it I'm still going on what my gut tells me since he's a well known publisher on Australian stamps some of you might even have his yellow little book and he really wanted it after looking at a catalogue. He gave my other stamps a low offer his son on the other hands convinced him to increase the negotiating by eight thousand so that's my hunch . |

The original poster asked for input, the input was not what he wanted. So be it, no point in beating a dead horse here. This thread has run it's productive course, I am asking that everyone please move on now. Don |
