Much more sentimental value than anything else. I didn't see anything special. Good luck.

I'm afraid that this is a schoolboy or schoolgirl album with penny stamps - I'd give it to a charity shop if you don't want it yourself,

Also, condition of the Stamps is really important. Many in your book are unfortunately not in the best shape. Keep it and expand on it - that is what I have done with my gifted stamps and I am really enjoying it. My goal it to pass this on to my children when they are older. Nora...

I see nothing valuable here. I do like the old albums though. This one seems to be late Forties/early Fifties.

If you plan on keeping it and expanding you might want to do some re-sorting, a lot of them are mounted on the wrong page, i.e. they are attributed to the wrong country. There's a King Edward VIII Great Britain stamp on the Canada page, an Austrian stamp on the Hungary page, another GB stamp on the India/Iraq page and a few others. Happy stamping!

Imagine, for a minute, how we feel.
Folks come here for appraisal of their stamps, we try and be polite, AND truthful, it sometimes hurts their feelings,
They go away feeling injured.
If we didn't respond it would be the same.

It's a tough gig, giving out values, but the fact remains, the advice here will always be in the main truthful and well meaning.
Hope you understand

Example today
Nearly 50 stamps, for sale 99c Aussie (60c US?)

may have value to someone starting out and learning about stamps. Doesn't appear to have any saleable value. Great job on the scans though. Explain how you scan and upload so many? would love to learn.

I think you have been given some great advice. It looks like the album you inherited was formed by someone who merely enjoyed the hobby for what it is. I'd encourage you to build on it or donate if not interested. As you become more educated on the subject of philately, you'll more fully understand that stamps can be a solid investment or merely a fun inexpensive hobby. It just depends on what you're looking to get out of it. I have both investment and very inexpensive stamps both which feed my philatelic cravings. Both mindsets are fabulous. They're just different. Good Luck

Not much monetary value here, but it IS a nice start to a worldwide collection.

As much as I love old stamp albums--especially my Dad's--I worry about albums and loose-leaf filler paper sheets like yours where the paper is turning brown as they aren't really safe for long-term storage of stamps. If you decide to take up the hobby, you'll want to retire this album in favour of a safer long-term alternative.
