What Are These India? Revenue Stamps

Recently a lot for sale on ebay, see the scan.
I do have 2 of those stamps used and the backing paper shows India? words.
What are they used for? When? which state did issue them?

These are labels for a donation fund or recepit stamps of" Shree Gopala Gosala".
for the upkeep and protection of milking cows.Yours seem to be of a later type.There were other types before. The value is in Paise (Currency after 1964).
Not sure of the date but could be late 1960's-1970. Could be Rajasthan..
I have some with peacocks. Peacock feeding labels (numbered)for the protection of peacocks !
They date from late 1950's

Nice link Perf12, but what really piques my interest is the article following that of the Indian Revenues about the types of locks used by US Government Agencies. It's truly amazing what some folk are interested in! Rod probably has a whole page of them in his seemingly bottomless collection

No Sir, had not seen either the Indian Revenues or the locks, ever before.
I have information on the US Lock Seals (Tom Fortunato)
but not the locks.
That's some heavy "ephemera" there, be tough to mount.

Peacock feeding charity labels. The value is on the bottom right ;next to the leg.
They measure around 4 X 5 cm.

Both are charity label for raising funds for cow shelter Shri Gopal Goshala, Jhunjhunu from c.1956.

First one is denominated 25 Paisa (Blatt GS/JJ/2ga).

Second is denominated 2 Rupaya (Blatt GS/JJ/2ma).

Shri is an Indian honorific, commonly used before masculine first name.

Gopal is another name of Lord Krishna in his personification as cowherd.

Goshala means cow shelter.

Jhunjhunu (28.1317°N 75.4022°E) was part of the Indian feudatory state of Jaypur till 1948 and now it is the headquarters of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan state.

The labels have been recorded used in 1956 before the currency decimalization.

Paisa was not a currency only after 1964.

Paisa was in use in India long before currency reformation in 1957.

1 Paisa was equivalent to 3 Pai/¼ Ana. For example Jhalawar 1886 1P SG 1 is denominated in Paisa.
