What is the best way to sell a collection of stamps. By country pages, individually, lots or the complete album?

I'm pulling away from International and going to considerate US only.

Need a lot more information to give any kind of advice.

Countries, catalogue value of stamps, mint or used, etc.

Pictures would help.

Depends how quickly you want to sell it.

But I would say by country is the best way to do it, just make sure that you have at least $20 in catalog value in each lot. This means you will need at leas 100 of minimum value stamps in each lot, and they all should be sound and with no duplicates. For this lot you may get $1-$2, giving you charge no more that $1 for shipping.

If you have fine sound stamps that catalogs over $20 you may try to sell those individually.

I agree with danko.

I think you'd be well advised to go to a stamp club meeting and lay it all out on a table by country. Invite offers.

If I was going to opt for selling on line, I'd post one of two pages of the very oldest / most rare if you know which are such - and say in text that "total collections amounts to......whatever volume / number / cat. value. And spans which years. Include statement of general condition. Of course M/U or both. Having said all that I have had very little luck selling world in either ebay.com or ebay.uk. Just as one example, I have a large older / very good condition used Cuba collection that I've been trying to sell on line for several years. Never a bid. of course that reactionary ebay.com bans Cuba selling (how dare they!!) but there are ways around that.
