I found these in a collection I bought a couple of years ago and have only recently been digging through.

They are hinged and mounted on the paper. Under the stamp is the name "Globus Stamp Co." Couldn't get a good picture of the label. I've always thought "hinges = bad" and I forget they were the method at one time.

The above pictures are very normal even today. Used stamps can be hinged on the pages of a sales circuit. Only mint stamps should not be hinged, but can be put in a protective sleeve

From the looks of it, that could be one of the better old-timey peelable hinges that are easy to safely remove from used stamps. And in the days before mounts, "mint never hinged" wasn't a priority for many collectors.

Regardless, I love those old sales cards and would want to keep them intact as a piece of history rather than trying to remove any of the stamps, unless there was something really nice that you needed for your collection.

Zebraman, I plan to leave them on the cards. Like you, I love them the way they are.
