Unfortunately, I don't speak or read French.

Can anyone translate what is represented by this "exposition" cancellation?

It's only a cut square that was found in an accumulation of stamps, but someone must have thought it was worth keeping.

Thanks.

Well, no one else has taken a stab, so

Caen is a city.
SA could be the abbreviation for société anonyme, a French organization similar to our corporations.
Can't make out the FO____
Exposition can stand on its own.
The last line is August and September.

[edit: By the way...it was worth keeping.]

I am completely out of my depth, but I did find a similar cancel which you can see by Googleing "Flamme d´oblitération de Caen". There apparently were two cancels. Yours reads "Caen Sa Foire/Exposition/Auit Septbre." The other was "Visitez Caen/Exposition/Auit Septbre." The cancel type is given as "machine Krag 2ème génération". Am I reading the date right that this is 3 March 1938, 22.40 in the evening?

It looks like this Fair is still being held.
