Well I gotta say (and I'm going to make some of you mad) but I've always thought the Black Jack was one of the more unattractive of the US classics. Like looking at Andrew through a peep hole!
But I still want one!
Lost out on a beauty a couple of weeks ago on ebay, but I'll keep looking. Yours looks great I_love_stamps. Like the fact you can see his face really well.
Congrats.

Here's my example. Very light cancel on forehead of Jackson. A bit off center at the bottom but pretty decent side to side centering. Hinge remnants on back. Not the best, perhaps, but a very nice appearing stamp for its age:

Hey all!
Just titillating your apatite a little. Here are a couple that will be going up for auction when I re-open my store next month. The last one is not a 73 but a 85b

Ron you are cruel--lol Love the pair and second down is really good centering for this stamp. I promised no more buying except mint old canada but its not easy sticking to my guns. Think 10% discount for teasing is in order!

Guess it is time to twist the old knife a bit. The top one is of course is a Mint og. No big guess work there. The pair that you liked so much....is a double transfer on the L/H stamp. And as I said the bottom one is a ZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Also I have a couple Average centered "E" and "F" grills that I did not post.
The best
Ron

Your Scott#241,#287,#101,#118(superb centering on this one IMHO) just mind blowing! I'm still searching for a 120 with as good of centering as that one has. My 116 is just so-so and used but still sound. You must be grinning like the cat that ate the canary lol!

About grading stamps.
First I must say I am not an expert this is why this statement go's on every one of my listing. In addition to this I have come with a check list that will be shown in the listing and will go with every sold Item. As some of may know, I am a huge, active, advocate for making ebay a safer place to due business.

eBay Buyers

"As some of you may or may not know, there are some very unethical sellers here. I personally know, as I have been bitten more than once. Like most of you I am only a hobby stamp collector and ebay seller. Additionally, I make no claims or wish to present myself as an expert at Identifying or grading stamps. This is why I highly encourage you to take the time and have the stamp that you are intending to bid on, or after you buy it, looked at by a professional expert. I highly recommend William Weiss, not only is he quick, and at his ridiculous low prices, in my mind you would be foolish not to do this. Here is a link to his ebay selling page;"

I would like to have your comments about this. Good/bad suggestions ect.
Ron

Well first off, grading stamps like the ones shown is a complete waste as pieces of that caliber and price attract a smaller market due to the price. The people interested in buying items like that really don't need a grade, as the Stamps speak for themselves. Anyone who knows anything about Stamps can see that most shown above are extraordinary. I for one certainly don't need a number in a stamp description to inform me of it's centering. Sorry for my rant as I think Stamp grading is one of the biggest downfalls to collectors and was only put in place for sellers to to find an avenue to put a higher premium on their sales.

Anyways, back to the Stamps...I'd love that 101, but I'd probably ruin it by drooling on it....very nice items, thanks for posting them.
