Barb,

I agree with Russ that it is a 73 as it doesn't appear to have a grill.

Here are scans of a Scott 87 (E grill). As you can see on the scan of the face there are little, if any, signs of a grill; however, the back of the stamp provides a much different perspective.

I'm also curious about that red verticle line. I also think that there is a red verticle line on the edge of the left perforations when viewing the stamp from the back.

While the 73 you showed is nice you may wish to take a closer look at the 209. If that scan is even half correct you might wiant to compare it to the Swedish Tiger example.

Here is a very nice one that I just sold.
